A village watermill
The Konya experience guide identifies the mill at the entrance to Adaköy, beside Pazaryeri Bridge on the route from Beyşehir toward Derebucak. A watermill makes water power, grain processing and village work visible in a way that the larger lake regulator does not. The guide establishes location and public recognition, but gives no secure construction date.[1]
The phrase “historic watermill” should therefore be read as the guide’s description, not as proof of a medieval foundation. Dating a surviving wheel, channel or masonry phase would require architectural survey or archival documents.[1]
Water in everyday production
The mill adds a village-scale chapter to the region’s water history. Read beside the lake and Derebucak, it shows why smaller working sites belong in a regional account alongside palaces and mosques.[1][2]
