# Kubadabad Great Palace ruins

A source-grounded interpretation of the present-day Great Palace and adjoining protected bath. The rest of the archaeological complex is not reconstructed. The model has exposed low stone walls, seven forecourt cells, incomplete room divisions, surviving-floor interpretations, bath hypocaust piers and the modern metal protection roofs visible in the excavation authority aerial.

## Coordinate contract

Origin `[31.439030170440674, 37.744228687999694]` is an image-picked Great Palace centre in WGS84 longitude/latitude, with approximately 5–10 m horizontal uncertainty. It is **not a visitor entrance**. Blender coordinates are metres east/north/up; z=0 is local terrace ground. The exported GLB is east/up/south, with orientation baked into vertices. The bath reaches about 0.61 m below the ground datum. No original survey or elevation dataset was available.

The previous app point at 37.75383N,31.43690E lies roughly one kilometre north of the archaeological remains. The OSM whole-site label (way 551979053) is around 37.74317N,31.43870E; this model is the Great Palace at its northern end.

## Evidence and limits

The excavation authority describes the seven forecourt cells, central hall/eyvan sequence, room clusters and southeast bath. Its aerial photograph confirms low exposed ruins and metal protection canopies. Published plans and approximate 50 × 35 m dimensions guide the floor plan. Stone shapes, masonry heights, missing edges, paving survival, vegetation, roof supports and exact alignment are artistic estimates, not a measured digital twin. No intact medieval palace, tiled royal interiors, new access paths or precise entrance is invented. Source photographs are inspected as references only and are not packaged as textures.

## Rebuild

Run `blender --background --python scripts/landmarks/kubadabad.py` from this repository. The script creates a new scene/collection without deleting or editing existing objects, exports only that collection, writes exact binary size/hash/triangle metadata and renders `preview.jpg`. Textures are original and embedded. No decoder or external file is required by the GLB.
