# Demirli Mescid — authored architectural exterior

This model follows the measured 2024 study by Ahmet Yavuzyılmaz and Ayşe Budak: a small, slightly skewed stone prayer hall with a red tiled hip roof, timber wall ties, a carved west entrance, and four iron-barred windows. The north and east walls are blind. No minaret or attached timber house is invented.

The study supplies the 12.27 × 10.37 m exterior extent, 0.85 m east-side skew, 0.50 m eaves, 45% roof slope, window placement, 2.30 × 3.16 m portal, and 0.93 × 0.35 m inscription slab. Small gutter dimensions, stone patterns, weathering, and carving depth are approximate. The published building stands on sloping ground; this model uses an average eave height and a flat zero datum for atlas alignment. It does not reconstruct the complete interior or transcribe the inscription.

## Coordinates and integration

- WGS84 origin: the mean of the mapped footprint vertices; exact numeric longitude/latitude are recorded in `metadata.json`.
- Blender: X east, Y north, Z up, in metres. Geographic rotation is baked.
- Exported glTF: X east, Y up, Z south. Ground datum is zero.
- Replace Feature.id **930** in `/geodata/buildings.geojson`.
- `metadata.json` records exact bounds, byte size, SHA-256, triangle count, sources, and a viewer orbit showing the west door and south grilles.
- Original procedural color/normal textures are embedded in the GLB. No external texture paths or decoder are required. Preview camera/lights are excluded.

## Rebuild

From the repository root:

```powershell
& 'D:\Blender\blender.exe' --background --factory-startup --python scripts/landmarks/demirli.py
```

The script creates a new named Blender scene and exports only its collection, preserving existing scenes and objects. Render that scene's active camera to produce the preview. The generator and shared `_mosque_mesh.py` are deterministic.

The local file `data/images/optimized/01-esrefoglu-camii/esrefoglu_15_demirli_mescid_cephe_sebekeler.webp` depicts a different two-storey timber house. It was excluded after visual inspection. The scholarly site photographs were used instead. No source photograph is copied into model textures; materials and mesh are originally authored.
